Caring For Our Community
Our commitment to the communities in which we operate is extensive and goes well beyond bricks and mortar. For more than a quarter-century, Station Casinos has been an integral part of Southern Nevada’s philanthropic landscape. Through innovative approaches, like our signature Smart Start and Caring for our Community programs, we are helping solve some of the Las Vegas Valley’s most pressing challenges through volunteerism and programmatic financial assistance.
We look forward to introducing these programs to Reno area non-profits and the Washoe School District.
Championing these programs are our Team Member volunteers who through our “Team Work in Action!” bring the Company’s be-a-good-neighbor philosophy to life in classrooms, homeless and domestic violence shelters, and senior centers. We are 11,000 strong and changing lives every day.
Smart Start
While the needs of every community vary, the need for a strong educational system is constant, particularly when it comes to helping ensure that a community’s next generation of leaders will be sufficiently prepared to take on that responsibility.
Nearly half of Clark County’s 131,000 elementary school children receive direct assistance throughout our Smart Start program. Our properties partner with Clark County’s 56 high need elementary schools providing volunteers and resources to ensure that these kids with challenging financial situations at home are assured access to the tools and opportunities that will help them become successful adults.
Caring for our Community
Each year, thousands of Southern Nevada’s most needy residents benefit from this groundbreaking program where a $50,000 donation along with a public service campaign is provided each month to a local non-profit organization. The campaign has resulted in greater awareness and a stronger volunteer and financial support base for each of the philanthropic entities we’ve supported.
Giving back to the community is a core philosophy that exists throughout every level of Station Casinos. Company executives set an example by serving on various non-profit boards, volunteering and showing encouragement and support for each and every Station Casinos Team Member who donates their personal time to help better the community.
